The RangeRiders 4 Wheelers meet every third Wednesday of the month at the LandMark Cafe on Fry Blvd in Sierra Vista at 6:30pm. Non-members are welcome to attend a meeting. Our club goes on runs several times a month. Some will be listed in the calendar at this site, you are welcome to join us provided your vehicle meets the minimum requirements that will be specified in the calendar details. In addition to sponsoring runs we are also avid campers and hold many campouts each year. Our most recent addition to our annual calendar is a New Years Eve trip to the Florence area where we will camp for an extended weekend and go on the trails in the area. A club favorite is our summer campout at our campground near Patagonia where we have games, potluck, trails for all skillsets, a raffle and nightly bonfires. We will also take advantage of many long weekends throughout the year and head for the hills.
The RangeRiders also participate in many community events such as the Benson 4th of July parade, the Sierra Vista Christmas Parade and Art In The Park where we sell food items and donate a portion of the proceeds to a local charity. Our club is a member of the Arizona State Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs as well as Tread Lightly. We practice and promote responsible Off Road travel. We work with the Forest Service, BLM and Game & Fish to keep the trails open. We conduct many classes each year that are free of charge. If you are new to the sport you may join us in one of our 4 Wheeling 101 classes where we will teach you the essentials of safe 4 wheeling. Other courses that we offer include Winching 101 and Spotting 101. An event open to members only is Maintenance Day where members can bring their rigs for repair work, safety inspection, upgrades, installations and CB tuning. Everyone pitches in with mechanical skills, tools and comradery to keep our vehicles in top shape. Whether you are a beginner or expert, we welcome you to join us at one of our meetings or on a published run. |
