From talking with several club members who
drove locker equipped Jeeps on our last "Snow Outing" on Ft Huachuca I
came to realize that a few of our members don't know when or when not
to use lockers. As some club members found out, the use of lockers like
in slippery off-camber situations can cause one to start sliding out of
control. Since I am not an expert on the topic and my off-road moto is
"that it is always better to learn from the mistakes of others than
your own" I offer the following reference of an excellent article by
Bill Burke, a world recognized Range Rover 4-wheel drive expert, at www.bb4wa.com/articles/Lockers.htm. Even if you don't have lockers, I
recommend that you read it.
